Index Cricket Academy emerged victorious in the prestigious Ashabai Memorial Cup Elite Under-18 Red Ball Cricket Tournament by defeating Icon Team by 57 runs in an exciting final played at Munimji Cricket Ground, Indore. Winning the toss, Index elected to bat first and displayed a determined performance despite facing disciplined bowling from the opposition. The team was eventually bowled out for 120 runs in 25.1 overs, setting a competitive target for the final showdown. The match reflected the academy’s fighting spirit and strategic approach, laying the foundation for a memorable championship victory.
Defending a modest total, the bowlers of Index Cricket Academy delivered an exceptional performance with remarkable precision and control. Icon Team struggled to build partnerships and remained under pressure throughout their innings, eventually getting bowled out for just 63 runs in 28.1 overs. The standout performer of the final was Nuzem Khan, whose brilliant spell earned him five crucial wickets and the prestigious “Man of the Match” award. His match-winning performance, supported by disciplined fielding and collective teamwork, played a decisive role in securing the title for the academy.
