The inaugural season of the Index Cup Championship (U-17 Boys T-20), held in loving memory of Late Smt. Munni Devi Bhadoria Ji, marked a significant milestone in the journey of nurturing young cricketing talent. Organized at the picturesque RAU Cricket Ground in Indore, the grand finale on 30th January 2025 was a thrilling display of sportsmanship and skill. The final match saw Daily Collage (DC) face off against Mount Index International School (MIlS) in a high-energy contest that captivated the audience. With exceptional performances, DC emerged victorious and clinched the championship trophy, while MIIS secured a runner-up position.
The presence of Mr. Roopesh Verma, HR Director of Index Group and CEO of
MIIS, as the chief guest, added great value to the event. He shared motivating words with the young athletes and presided over the prize distribution ceremony.
Several individual players were recognized for their outstanding contributions throughout the tournament. Veer Pandey (DC) was the undisputed star, winning both Man of the Match (Final) and Player of the Tournament. Other standout performers included Sourish Chanani (Best Bowler, DC), Shreyansh Singh (Best Batsman, MIIS), Ranvijay Singh Thakur (Best Wicketkeeper, DC), Darsh Gour (Best Catch, MIIS), and Aditya Singh (Best Fielder, MIlS).
The Index Cricket Academy and MIIS management extend heartfelt congratulations to all participating teams and individual performers. Special appreciation goes to the academy’s coaching staff and the organizing committee for their tireless efforts in making the event a grand success. The support of Principal Mr. Shyam Agarwal, Vice Principal Mrs. Moumita Chatterjee, and the entire MIIS sports department was instrumental in hosting this memorable championship. Events like these not only foster competitive spirit but also align with our academy’s mission to groom the next generation of cricketing stars through structured training, discipline and real-time match experience.
